One-to-one mentoring
For the wedding photographer stuck at the same revenue - and ready to change it.
About my approach
I have spent nearly two decades photographing weddings - long enough to build a business from scratch, make expensive mistakes, outgrow ideas I once believed, and learn that photography is rarely the hardest part of running a photography business.
Most photographers I speak with already know how to make good photographs.
What usually gets in the way is everything around the photographs.
- Pricing
- Positioning
- Client conversations
- Burnout
- Repetitive work
I have photographed hundreds of weddings, won awards I once dreamed about, and made more mistakes than I would like to admit. That is why this is not a course.
Just honest conversations, practical guidance, and a second set of experienced eyes when you need them.
I take four photographers per year because the goal is not to teach photography. The goal is to help you build a business and body of work you are proud of.
Inside the work
What We Actually Work On
Not a syllabus. Not a generic roadmap. I focus on what is actually happening in your work, your business, and your head.
The Work Itself
Portfolio reviews. Editing decisions. Building a stronger body of work. Finding your voice. Creating photographs that feel more personal and less predictable.
The Business Behind The Work
Pricing. Website reviews. Inquiry responses. Consultations. Contracts. Building a business that attracts the right couples and filters out the wrong ones.
The Systems
Workflow. Client experience. Time management. Automation. The small improvements that make running a photography business less overwhelming.
The Difficult Conversations
Raising prices. Saying no. Managing expectations. Handling unhappy clients. Navigating the situations nobody teaches you about.
The Part Nobody Talks About
Creative burnout. Comparison. Losing confidence in your work. Feeling stuck after years of doing the same thing. Finding excitement in photography again.
Mentoring
Most photographers start here.
Twelve months. Twelve one-hour sessions. Two full working days together. Second-shooting opportunities at my weddings. A direct line to me when something comes up that cannot wait.
A full-year support plan
The Year
I am not teaching you from a distance. I am working alongside you, thinking through your business as if it were my own.
- 12 one-hour sessions, weekly, in person in DC or on Zoom
- Weekly rhythm, with rescheduling when real life needs it
- Direct line to me between sessions - Messenger, iMessage, or Zoom chat
- Two full-day one-on-one working sessions
- Two second-shooting opportunities at my weddings
- Inquiry referrals when the fit is right - by name
12 monthly payments of $192
Face-to-face training
A Day
Together
A deep, focused working session. No distractions. No rushing. I look at what is working, what is not, and what should change next.
- Half day or full day together
- Website, portfolio, pricing, business, or creative review
- Clear direction and practical next steps
- Complimentary one-hour Zoom follow-up within a month
Online training
An Hour
A focused online session for photographers who need direct feedback, pricing help, positioning clarity, or answers to specific questions.
- 60-minute online session
- Portfolio, website, pricing, or business feedback
- Clear answers without performance or fluff
- Best for specific questions or a quick reset
This is for you if
- You photograph weddings regularly and feel stuck at the same level.
- You want direct, personal feedback instead of another course.
- You are willing to change your pricing, systems, website, and client experience.
This is not for you if
- You are still building your first portfolio.
- You want pre-recorded lessons instead of personal guidance.
- You are not ready to raise your prices or change how you run the business.
