You Don’t Have to Be Good at Photos

You just have to be in love.

I’m a DC wedding photographer in Washington DC, working with couples throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia who don’t feel natural in front of a camera - and don’t want to fake it. Almost every inquiry starts the same way: “We’re awkward.” I usually smile. That’s a good place to begin. As a DC wedding photographer, I don’t choreograph weddings or manufacture moments. I watch. I wait. I notice what most people miss - the breath before the vows, the unplanned hand squeeze, the quiet in between. If presence matters more to you than perfection, we should talk.

A wedding moves fast. This is what stays.

The Manifesto

What happens when you forget the camera.

In a world that shouts, I choose to pay attention. Wedding photography often leans toward the loud - the confetti, the cheers, the grand exits. I capture those. But I’m more interested in what happens in between.

I don’t just want you to remember how you looked. I want you to remember how it felt to be seen by the person you love.

My approach is rooted in observation, not direction. I’m not there to choreograph your day or turn it into a production. I wait for the guard to drop. For the breath to shift. For the hands to find each other without thinking.

This isn’t about perfect photos. It’s about preserving the beginning of your life together - honestly, quietly, and without pretending.

Honesty

No fake poses. Just real, raw, unfiltered human connection.

Artistry

Compositions inspired by cinema and renaissance painting.

Legacy

Images built to outlast trends and live for generations.

Love Notes

“Mantas didn’t just take photos. He saw us. The nervousness, the quiet moments, the way we looked at each other when no one else was watching. Our album doesn’t feel like pictures - it feels like that day”

We’re painfully awkward in front of cameras. We told him that immediately. Somehow, we forgot about the camera entirely. The moments he caught in between - those are the ones that mean everything to us now

“Pure magic. Not the loud, staged kind. The kind that happens when you feel safe enough to just be yourself.”

Tell me about your day

I take on a small number of weddings each year so I can stay fully present for the people I work with. If what you’ve seen here feels like you, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
