Frequently Asked Questions

WHY WE SHOULD BUY ALBUM?

You might consider purchasing a wedding album to showcase your special day for many reasons. One of the main benefits is that an album is a tangible, handcrafted piece built to last. It is something you can hold in your hands, flip through, and share with others. In contrast, digital photos can easily be lost or deleted, and they may not have the same longevity as physical prints. With an album, you can be confident that your photos will be preserved in a way that allows you to enjoy them for years to come, regardless of changes in technology. Additionally, an album is a beautiful and elegant way to showcase your photos and to tell the story of your special day. It is a timeless and meaningful keepsake that you can share with friends and family and pass down to future generations.

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?

It is generally a good idea to book your wedding photographer as soon as possible, especially if you have a specific date in mind. Many photographers, myself included, book up quickly, especially for popular dates such as Saturdays in the summer. By booking early, you can ensure that you get the photographer you want for your special day. Keep in mind that all bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you book, the more likely you are to secure your preferred date and photographer. If you are interested in booking me as your photographer, please don't hesitate to reach out via email or the contact page on my website. I am always happy to answer any questions you may have and to discuss your photography needs in more detail.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PACKAGE "DOCUMENTARY" AND "DOCUMENTARY + CREATIVE."

The main difference between the "Documentary" package and the "Documentary + Creative" package is the inclusion of an additional photographer and an extra hour of wedding coverage. The "Documentary" package likely includes coverage by a single photographer, while the "Documentary + Creative" package includes coverage by two photographers. The additional hour of coverage in the "Documentary + Creative" package may allow for more thorough documentation of the wedding day, including more candid moments and additional creative shots. It is always a good idea to discuss your specific needs and vision with the photographer to determine which package is the best fit for you.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Yes, I am willing to travel for weddings and have experience documenting weddings in a variety of locations, including Hawaii, England, Lithuania, Mauritius, Kenya, Sedona, Los Angeles, New Hampshire, Vermont, Chicago, and Florida. I enjoy the opportunity to explore new places and capture the unique stories of each couple, and I am always eager to be a part of your special day, no matter where it takes place. If you are planning a destination wedding or have a specific location in mind for your wedding, please don't hesitate to reach out to discuss your travel plans and how I can be a part of your special day.

HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

To book my services as a photographer, simply reach out to me via phone or email to express your interest. I will then send you a booking form and contract to complete and return to me. Once these documents have been completed and returned, you will receive a link to your personal booking website. On this website, you will be able to review and approve your quote, add any additional products or services that you would like, sign the online contract, and pay the booking retainer to secure your date. This process is designed to be easy and convenient, and I am here to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the process. I look forward to the opportunity to document your special day and capture beautiful, timeless images that you can cherish for a lifetime.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE GET?

The number of photos you will receive from your wedding day coverage will depend on a variety of factors, including the size and duration of your wedding, as well as the level of activity and the number of events that take place throughout the day. For standard wedding coverage, I typically deliver around 800+ images. However, this number may vary depending on the specifics of your wedding. All of your edited, high-resolution photos will be delivered within 8 weeks of your wedding day. I strive to capture all of the important moments and details of your special day and to provide you with a comprehensive collection of beautiful, timeless images that you can treasure for a lifetime.

CAN WE ORDER SOMETHING ELSE FORM YOU?

In addition to wedding albums, I offer a variety of other products and services that you can purchase to showcase your photos and celebrate your special day. Some of the options that may be available to you include single prints, framed wall art, and smaller duplicate albums that you can give to family and friends as gifts. I am always happy to work with you to find the best solution for your needs and to help you display and enjoy your photos in a way that is meaningful to you. Whether you are interested in a traditional album or something more modern and creative, I am here to help you find the perfect way to showcase your photos and tell your story.

DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM?

I shoot using digital cameras and technology, as opposed to film. Digital photography has many advantages, including the ability to quickly review and edit photos, the ability to shoot at a higher volume, and the ability to easily share photos online or via email. Digital cameras also offer a wide range of settings and features that allow me to capture a variety of looks and effects, including different exposures, white balances, and image sizes. I believe that digital photography allows me to be more flexible and creative in my work, and it allows me to provide my clients with high-quality, edited images that they can enjoy for years to come.

WHAT KIND OF CAMERA GEAR DO YOU USE?

As a professional photographer, I use high-quality camera gear to ensure that I am able to capture the best possible images for my clients. My current camera setup includes the Nikon Z6 II and the Nikon D850, both of which are known for their excellent image quality and performance. I also use a range of lenses, including the Sigma 24mm Art, Sigma 85mm Art, and Sigma 35mm Art. These lenses offer a range of focal lengths and aperture capabilities, allowing me to capture a wide variety of looks and effects. I believe that using top-of-the-line camera gear is essential for producing high-quality, professional images that my clients will love.

ARE ALL OF OUR PHOTOS EDITED?

Yes, all of the photos from your wedding day coverage will be professionally edited to ensure that they look their best. This includes color correction, exposure adjustments, and other enhancements to ensure that each image is as vibrant and detailed as possible. I take the editing process very seriously, as I believe that it is an important part of the creative process and helps me to tell your story in a way that is consistent with my style. You will receive a selection of both color and black and white images, and I am always open to discussing any specific editing requests or preferences that you may have. I want you to be completely satisfied with the final product, and I will work with you to ensure that your photos are everything you hoped they would be.

DO YOU HAVE A BACKUP?

As a professional photographer, I understand the importance of having reliable backup systems in place to ensure that your photos are safe and secure. That is why I use a combination of in-camera backups and off-site storage to protect your images. My cameras are equipped with double card slots, which allows me to store a copy of each image on two separate memory cards. This provides an additional level of protection in case one of the cards fails or is lost. In addition, I have a server at home with a 4-drive RAID setup, which provides even more protection for your images. Finally, I also use Dropbox for off-site storage, which ensures that your photos are safe even in the event of a disaster at my studio. With these backup systems in place, you can be confident that your photos will be safe and secure at all times.

WHAT DO WE GET IN OUR ONLINE GALLERY?

When you receive your online gallery, you will have access to a collection of fully processed, edited, and printable high-resolution JPEG images. These images will be ready for you to download, share, and print as you see fit. You can use these images to create prints, photo albums, and other products to showcase and enjoy your photos. The images in your online gallery will be of the highest quality, and they will be optimized for printing so that you can be confident that the final products will look their best. I believe that your online gallery should be a convenient and user-friendly resource that allows you to easily access and enjoy your photos in any way you choose. I am always here to answer any questions you may have and to help you get the most out of your online gallery.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

As a professional photographer, I understand the importance of having insurance to protect myself, my business, and my clients. I am fully insured and have coverage that protects me in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. This includes liability insurance, which protects me and my clients in the event of any accidents or injuries that may occur during a photoshoot. It also includes equipment insurance, which covers my camera gear in case of damage, theft, or loss. Having insurance is an important part of running a professional business, and I believe it is essential for providing my clients with peace of mind and security. You can be confident that when you work with me, you are working with a responsible and reliable professional who takes all necessary precautions to ensure a smooth and successful photoshoot.
